Our Story

Why we started Cheviltance

Too many investment and business decisions are still made on intuition, anecdote, or sales pitches dressed up as insight. We started Cheviltance because we believed decision-makers deserved something more rigorous: analysis that is tested against historical data before it's ever acted on.

What began as an internal research framework grew into a dedicated platform, built for investors and business leaders who want to see their assumptions challenged — and validated — before committing capital or strategy.

Today, Cheviltance applies that same evidence-based discipline to every analysis we produce, with a methodology that stays consistent, transparent, and open to scrutiny.

Our Mission

Replace assumption with verified analysis

We exist to help investors and business decision-makers act on conclusions that have been tested against real-world data — not on narrative alone.

What we believe

Good decisions come from a clear, repeatable process — not from reacting to the loudest opinion in the room.

Transparency in methodology matters as much as the conclusion itself. If you can't see how an answer was reached, you can't trust it.

What that means in practice

Every analysis we deliver is grounded in historical backtesting, so claims can be checked rather than simply accepted.

We stay focused on systematic rigor over speed, because durable decisions are worth the extra diligence.

Our Values

The principles behind our work

These values guide how we build our methodology and how we work with the people who rely on it.

Evidence First

Backtested, not assumed

Every conclusion is checked against historical data before it's presented. We don't publish analysis we haven't stress-tested ourselves.

Transparency

Open methodology

We explain how we reach our conclusions, not just what they are, so decision-makers can evaluate the reasoning for themselves.

Discipline

Consistent process

The same systematic approach is applied every time — no shortcuts, no cherry-picking favorable outcomes.

Independence

Analysis over advocacy

Our role is to surface what the data shows, not to argue a predetermined position.

Rigor

Depth before speed

We prioritize getting the analysis right over getting it out quickly, because decisions built on weak foundations cost more later.

Clarity

Usable, not just accurate

Rigorous analysis is only useful if it's communicated clearly enough to act on with confidence.

How We Work

A consistent approach to every analysis

Our process is designed to be repeatable and auditable at every stage.

1

Define the question

We start by framing the decision clearly, so the analysis stays focused on what actually matters to the outcome.

2

Test against historical data

Our methodology is applied systematically and backtested, so conclusions are grounded in observed patterns rather than assumptions.

3

Deliver a transparent result

We present findings alongside the reasoning behind them, so decision-makers can evaluate the analysis, not just the headline.

Our Team

Cheviltance is run by a small, focused team committed to maintaining the discipline and transparency our analysis depends on.
